Taylor Swift breaks her social media silence with a single “Like”

It has been a while since we have seen Taylor Swift caused a sensation on social media.

After the singer was completely silent for months, she finally took a step that made the fans sum up: she liked a video on Instagram. It was not the great comeback that some hoped for, but it was enough to make their fans talk.

Swift's last big public appearance was in the Super Bowl in February, where she started her friend Travis Kelce as his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, she has not posted anything in her Instagram current since December, and there was also radio silence on her X (formerly Twitter) and TikK accounts with her last post on the platforms from November and October.

Fast lead until March 30th, when Kelce's brother Jason and his wife Kylie welcomed her daughter Finnley “Finn” Anne Kelce. On April 1, they made the announcement on Instagram, and Taylor's subtle return came on their post in the form of a “like”. The simple gesture of the pop star was enough to set the Internet abzzle because it had interacted with every post for the first time in months.

But why the silence? Well, Taylor's had a fairly complete schedule, especially with the completion of her Eras tour in December 2024, which ran for almost two years. During the tour she often performed football games at Travis Kelces. However, their public appearances were much less common this year. The fans had speculated about their absence, and some wondered if they just took a break or if there was a little more.

A fan even referred to her Instagram silence and wrote in April that it was “84 days” since Swift posted something. On March 21, a fan account noticed that Taylor had officially disappeared 100 days without a post, which was the longest break since her “reputation” -ARA in 2017.

So what's next for Taylor? Although there is no official announcement, many hope that their comeback for social media will coincide with the start of the 2025 NFL season. The pre -season of the chiefs begins in August and with the new football season right around the corner we may see more Swift in Kelces. The calm could only be temporary because the pop star could prepare for another busy year.
