Rivers Women goes to the wife of the sole administrator, who require Fubrara's reinstatement

How it happened

Premium Times learned that a first announcement had shown that Ms. Tinubu would personally take part in the event.

However, the drama began, as Ms. Ibas, the wife of the Rivers sole administrator, was presented as a representative of Ms. Tinubu.

The number of women flared up and demanded that Governor Fubrara's wife instead represent the First Lady and address them.

“We want Valerie Sim-Fubara or Remi Tinubu to speak to us, not the wife of Ibas! We want Sim!” One of the women heard to say.

“Bring Fubrara back,” sang the women repeatedly.

Another unidentified woman argued that Ms. Ibas had no right to address the Rivers women after they had been informed that Ms. Tinubu would do so.

“She (Ms. Ibas) is a stranger. She has no right to speak to us. Let Fubara's wife, Lady Valerie Fubara or President Tinubu come and speak to Rivers' women. We need our governor back,” she said.
