Alex Cora had such a scary description of the knee injury that Triston Casas was hospitalized

Boston Red Sox's first Baseman, Triston Casas, seemed routinely to sprint on the line to try to hit the throw on a short floor ball in the second inning on Friday evening. After touching the bag, he stumbled and fell to the ground. Moments later he would go to the hospital on a stretcher – an obviously scary situation for the Red Sox player.

After the game, Boston manager Alex Cora spoke about the injury and admitted that the obvious – it was “significant”. He also described the moments soberly after the fall:

“It seemed like he was shocked to be honest,” said Cora per Masslive. “He immediately said he didn't feel it. It's hard. He worked so hard. We want him in the field. It was also a hectic game, and that happened.”

The manager added that the team hoped to provide further information on Saturday after Casas had been subjected to some tests on the injured leg. Based on the circumstances, it would be a surprise if Casas would not miss a great time, but tests will give the team clearer information.

Hopefully a quick recovery for Casas is ahead of you. He posted an OPS .491 OPS OPS in the first 20 games of the year, but had been on the plate with a .837 clip in the eight games since then.
