Waltz annoyed Trump about the Iran strike discussion with Netanyahu

A few days ago, Trump released Waltz from his position as a national security advisor and appointed him US ambassador to the UN. After a scandal, his fate was sealed with a signal chat, in which he accidentally added a journalist from the Atlantic. The group had discussed potential strikes against Yemen.

However, Waltz annoyed Trump long before this scandal. According to two sources, he actively coordinated with Netanyahu about military options against Iran before having the Israeli guide meeting with Trump in the White House in the White House.

In one of the sources it says that Waltz “wanted to take politics in a direction with which Trump was not satisfied because the United States had not tried a diplomatic solution.”

“Trump came back and the president was not satisfied with it,” said this person.

Waltz's spokesman did not respond to a request for comments. The communication director of the White House, Steven Cheung, replied after a request in Washington Post.

“The president states the agenda and it is up to his administration to implement these guidelines and everyone rowed in the same direction, which is why he had the most successful first 100 days in history,” he said.

Some members of the administration believed that Waltz tried to give the scales in favor of military actions and worked closely with the Israelis.

US Iran talks

According to the New York Times, Israel planned to strike the nuclear sites of Iran in May. However, Donald Trump rejected the idea after Tehran agreed to conclude the talks about the nuclear agreement. A number of meetings had already taken place in April.

At the same time, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said yesterday that Iran had to stop the range of uranium and develop long-range missiles. He also said that American inspectors must have access to nuclear facilities. However, Tehran insists on his right to a complete core cycle.

Waltz's dismissal

As RBC Ukraine already reported, several diplomatic positions were offered to the released national security advisor Mike Waltz. In the end, he chose the role of the United Nations.
