No. 12 Tennessee Baseball (36-10, 13-9 sec) will fight in game two by a three-game series in Knoxville and in game two by a temporary double header against the Auburn Tigers No. 10 (32-14, 12-10 seconds).

The first pitch in the Lindsey Nelson Stadium takes place in the Sec Network +at 3:02 p.m.

All three games will be streamed in the Sec Network + this weekend. A complete preview of the series, including projected pitching matchups and more, click here.

Tennessee enters the second game of the series in game 1. After playing the upper half of the first Friday, the bad weather postponed the rest of the game on Saturday.

Therefore, Liam Doyle could not resume the next day. The Vols turned to Tegan Kuhns, Tanner Franklin and Brandon Arvidson in the game. Pitching was not the problem with the loss because the crime fell flat.

Recapitulate:

Tennessee took part in the series competition, which achieved a close victory against Northern Kentucky during the week. Previously, the Vols fell two out of three in a weekend series on the LSU.

The Vols missed a 3-0 lead with the ninth inning to lose the first game, dominated in a 9: 3 victory in game two and was then blown out with 12: 2 in a Sunday rubber game.

The loss put Tennessee by six places in the latest D1 Baseball -Top 25 survey on No. 12. In addition, Tennessee has now lost three of its last four series and two in a row.

After the series loss to the LSU, Tony Vitello set up the installation in the competition of the week against Northern Kentucky. Dean Curley apparently switched to the second basis full -time, while Gavin Kilen passed to Shortstop. That remained the case this weekend.

In addition, Kilen switched to the Leadoff-Platz in the line-up and Curley was pulled down to the two-hole. This has remained the case this weekend.

After a rough season of 2024, Auburn came back this season and is back as one of the best teams in the Sec. The tigers only lost two games in the pre -conference slate. In a game during the week and last month, she got a second time. Old Dominion also won a game in a series with three games against the tigers.

At that time, Auburn won five of his seven SEC series, but his conference record is only a game of over 0.500, since the tigers in both series – in Georgia and Texas – were spotted in both series. The tigers have series victories against Alabama, Vanderbilt and a series about LSU.

Auburn's two best players from last season are back and are the best bats again. Cooper McMurray meets nine Homeruns, 13 doubles and 40 RBIs .337. Ike Irish meets 11 Home Runs, 11 more basic hits and 37 RBIS .329. Four tigers meet over 0.300 and four or more Homeruns.

On the hill, the tigers in the SEC in the team era take 13th place. Carson Myers and Parker Carlson are Auburn's top bullpen and were good this season, but not great.

Head coach Butch Thompson is in Auburn in his tenth year and has a few pre-season all-conference selection in Catcher Ike Irish (1st Team) and the first Baseman Cooper McMurray (2nd team). Auburn was selected to take 12th place in the league in the previous season.

Notes for injuries/availability
  • In the second game against Kentucky a foul ball unfortunately met Tennessee Relief Pitcher Tanner Wiggins in the mouth. Tony Vitello said that there were teeth that were involved in Wiggins' injury, and the second year was then operated on his jaw.
    • Read more about the Wiggins status here.
  • UNC Transfer First Baseman Alberto Osuna does not remain eligible.
    • But on Monday Osuna again took legal measures that were still justified. Read more here.
