Damian Lillard reports “optimistically” about “quick recovery” of Achilles injuries

Although there is the 2025-26 season for the 2025-26 season after he had torn his Achilles in the defeat of Milwaukee Bucks against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, he wants to get it back faster than expected.

According to the sporty Eric GEHM and SAM AmickLillard is “optimistic” to make a “quick recovery” of the injury.

The goats confirmed on Monday that Lillard will be torn and operated on his Achilles.

This was the second year in a row, in which an Achilles injury Lillard forced to miss the time in the playoffs, although the injury of last season was not nearly as serious and only held a burden on games 4 and 5 against the Pacers.

The NBA insider Chris Haynes said that Lillard was “motivated” to attack his rehab and return to its usual form.

Since Lillard tore his Achilles and the typical time frame that other players had in their recovery, there is the possibility that he will miss every 2025-26.

The most famous example of a player who suffered a large Achilles injury late in a season and returned the following year was Kobe Bryant. He tore his Achilles in April 2013 and returned to Game Action eight months later.

However, the teams have recently been careful to control the players. Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant both missed the 2019-20 season after suffering Achilles tears in the 2019 NBA final.

Lillard is the same age (34) as Bryant when his Achilles injury occurred. Giving a full season would mean that he doesn't play again when he is 36 years old.

Injuries begin to piling up for Lillard, who has just completed his 13th NBA season. The nine-time all-star started 58 games this season and marked the third time in the past four years that he played in less than 60 games.

Lillard achieved an average of 24.9 points with 37.6 percent three-point shooting, 7.1 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game in 58 appearances for the bucks.
