Christian Braun part of a large NBA Trivia question

Who won a national championship of College basketball and then won an NBA championship the following season?

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar came closer, among other things, but only five players in the history of basketball won the NCAA title and got the ring next year.

The former Kansas star Christian Braun is on the list.

The NBA Trivia Nugget was brought up during the Denver 120-101 of the Los Angeles Clipper in game 7 of the first round of the playoffs.

Braun was one of the main men for the 2021-2022 Kansas Jayhawks and achieved an average of 14 points with 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in the national championship season. It was selected by Denver in the NBA design of 2022 and scored an average of 4.7 points per game with 2.5 rebounds per game in his rookie season 2022-2023.

Although he was a part-time player in the playoffs, he helped the matter with 15 points in game 3 of the NBA final on the way to victory against Miami.

And he got his championship.

So who was the other four players on the list of double double championship championship?

The most obvious was Magic Johnson, who won the national title with Michigan State in 1979 and then took home an NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980 season through the 42-point series clinching game 6 against Philadelphia.

Bill Russell was the other known name that pulled it off. He won national titles in San Francisco in a row and then came from the 1956 championship and kept everything as a young star of the Boston Celtics from 1956-1957.

The other two parts of the Trivia question are harder.

Henry Bibby won three national championships in a row with the UCLA from 1970 to 1972 and was an important bank player for the New York Knicks 1972-1973.

Billy Thompson was one of the stars of the Louisville Cardinals from 1985-1986 and in his first season in the NBA an average of 5.6 points per game for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1986-1987.
