Tried arson in Villa Park Cannabis pharmacy on the Roosevelt Road, which may be connected to Chicago Molotov Cocktail attacks: Police

Chicago (WLS) – A suspect was seen how he broke into a cannabis pharmacy in west and a shining Molotow cocktail in a similar way to threw the latest attacks in Chicago, the police said.

The Villa Park police are investigating after someone apparently tried to set fire to a cannabis pharmacy on Saturday.

The surveillance video showed the crime on Saturday at 4 a.m. in the cannabist store in the East Roosevelt Road in Villa Park.

The police said someone broke the window and then thrown a Molotow cocktail into the pharmacy. The flame went out quickly and the suspect ran away.

The police believe that the attack with two similar attacks in cannabis pharmacies in Chicago could be associated.

The Chicago crimes occurred on two separate days:

-4700 block of the Milwaukee Avenue on April 19 at 3:13 a.m.
-4000 block of women Avenue on April 27th at 3:49 a.m.

The Chicago police said a man supposedly broken the window of the shop, illuminated a Molotov cocktail and thrown it in.

The Chicago attacker wore a black hoodie and a mask over his face. The police added that he also had a black Fanny pack over his shoulder.
