Carjacking leads to chase, suspicious shot, killed by the police – NBC10 Philadelphia

A man is after a chain of events that included a carjacking, shooting and car hunt, which led to he was shot by seven police officers in the northeast of Philadelphia on Monday evening.

The man tried to steal the 32-year-old man's car, and a shot was fired during the incident, explained Bethel. The 32-year-old suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a nearby hospital in which he is listed in a critical condition.

The man then took the car and fled out of the area by driving through several districts in the northeast of Philadelphia, said Bethel.

At one point when the officials persecuted the Carjacker, according to Bethel, he fired a weapon on her in the area of ​​the 700 block of the East Cheltenham Avenue. The investigators found a ball on site.

“We know that this work is dangerous,” Bethel told NBC10. “Our duty is to answer.”

The car hunt continued with the 4600 block of the Roosevelt Boulevard, where the Carjacker drove to the bench in the middle of the street before climbing out of the car, said Bethel.

At that time, seven officers fired their weapons on the man and he was shot several times, reported Bethel. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
