Clippers' James Harden is the worst player 7 in NBA history

James Harden did it again.

A guy who is probably a top 50 player in the history of the NBA simply cannot do it in game 7.

Harden scored seven points on Saturday evening against the Nuggets. Yes, seven. He only tried eight shots and made two.

Harden has now managed to lose a game 7 with four different teams.

His most recent game 7 before this was in 2023 when he scored nine points for the 76s against the Celtics.

CBS announced that Harden in Harden's last 13 elimination games, game 7 or otherwise 39 percent of the field and his teams went 2: 11.

This is a player who achieves an average of 24.1 points per game in his NBA career. It is a 44 percent shooter from the ground.

He legitimately becomes a much worse player in game 7.

Sure, it's not a big sample size, but there has never been anything like that.

Harden scored 6 28 points in game, just to force a game 7. He is not incredibly bad in elimination games.

But he cannot do the job in the win-or-Home scenario.

It is not a mortal knock on hard, but it is disappointing. It should be better than that.
