Saturday Shuttle bus crash leads to 41 rescued, 33 injured injuries

An incident with mass accidents occurred today around 10:45 a.m. in the Gasconade County when a 2000 frachtzina -m -line -line -huttle -bus (trolley -bus), which transported 41 passengers, left the road and scored a ditch.

According to the crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) F. Tw Brewer, the 45-year-old male driver, drove on the State Highway 100 west of the Eagles Nest Drive when the shuttle bus drove from the right side of the street. The driver over -corrected and drove from the left side of the street and hit a ditch.

According to the crash report, the driver was flown to the university clinic with serious injuries with serious ambulances from the Arch Air Ambulance. The additional transports and injuries included 18 inmates that were taken to Hermann Area hospital, 10 to the Mercy Washington Hospital and five to the university clinic. Of the persons transported, four serious injuries, 11 had moderate injuries, 17 had minor injuries and one had no reported injuries.

Some helped in the crash examination, including MSGt. CG Holzschuh, Trp. KW Kaiser, Cpl. JM Langley, Cpl. JW Servais, Cpl. JS Huskey, CVO. DJ Hartmann and the Sheriff office of the Gasconade County.

In a Facebook post on May 3 by the Hermann Area volunteer fire brigade, around 10:51 a.m., an area on the Highway 100 west of Hermann was sent to Hermann this morning, in which a commercial passenger vehicle with 41 patients and several different injuries was in the forest. An incident with mass accidents was weakened to bring additional resources from the surrounding areas.

“A total of 10 ambulances were emitted from the surrounding districts and a flight car was requested,” said the office of volunteers in Hermann Area. “The Hermann Area District Hospital was contacted to activate your MCI protocol (Mass Casualty Incident) in order to prepare for an increase in patients.”

The ambulances were sent from the Hermann Ambulance district, the district of Gerald Area Ambulance, the Ambulance District of Owensville, the Osage Ambulance District and the Ambulance District in New Haven. A total of 14 firefighters, 20 paramedics and Emts and a flight crew were on site.

“All patients had been freed and transported within 40 minutes of catchment units,” reported Hermann Fire. “Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating this incident and all questions about the cause can be addressed to you.”

The road was open again until 1:30 p.m. to use normal traffic use.
