A four -year -old girl and a man were killed after a driver overturned an SUV against the entrance to Manila's international airport on Sunday, the Filipino Red Cross said.

The driver plunged the car through the outer railing and on a sidewalk, on which people stood in front of the departure area of ​​the international airport of the International Airport Ninoy Aquino shortly before 9 a.m., the Filipino Red Cross said in a statement.

“The incident tragically led to the victims of two people-a male adult and a 4-year-old girl,” it said.

The driver is in police custody and individuals are treated for injuries, said the airport operator in an explanation, even though he did not state how many people were injured.

There are currently no evidence from the police that the crash was deliberately.

CNN turned to the police in Pasay City, the area of ​​the Filipino capital where the airport is located to get a comment.

The Filipino Red Kreuz said that 18 volunteers and five ambulances used to react to the crash, including an ambulance for “potential flaw operations”, the explanation.

Videos that were shared by the Filipinian government news agency on social media showed chaos at the airport, and a black SUV fell into the entrance to the terminal. People could hear screaming and crying in the video, in which several people who were scattered on site and luggage were seen as first aiders in the scene.

“At this point, we are waiting for the official confirmation of the cause of the incident and the reports on injuries,” says the explanation of the operator of the airport.
