Local man who is remembered by the former student as a “loving” mobile district teacher

Mobile, Ala. (Wala)-Laut Mobile Police was reported to be missing on Friday, 50-year-old Jonathan Braswell.

The police found that Braswell was a victim of a hit-and-run on Tuesday, April 29. The investigators say that Braswell left Greenlawn Drive and Morningide Drive in the area of ​​Greenlawn when he was hit by a vehicle.

According to the authorities, Braswell was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The mobile police say that they have found the driver and the vehicle that is suspected of being involved in the accident, and that the driver remained on site until the medical staff arrived, but the driver went there before the officials arrived there.

According to the Clarke-Shaw Magnet School website, Braswell trained archery and taught a class called “Project Lead the Way”. Braswell's biography also said that he studied social sciences and secondary school formation at the University of Alabama.

One of the former students of Braswell, Lesley Ford, said that he had also taught at the Semmes Middle School for several years. Ford says Braswell is her geography teacher of the 7th grade and he was popular among his students.

“He was such a friend of all of his students. I was one of the stranger children there and he took us to us. He didn't stand for bullying- his classroom was always such a safe space,” said Ford. “He always turned off the lights in his classroom and had two lamps in the room and it was because he knew that the students would get headaches from the fluorescent lighting and he wanted to take a break. Teached us all about classic rock.

According to the MPD, the case is now being processed by investigators of the murders and that several witnesses have reported.
