Dallas Cowboys Breakout Star gets encouraging injury update from Brian Schottenheimer

The secondary level of the Dallas Cowboys exhausted injuries during the 2024 season, with Trevon Diggs and Daron Bland both lacking extensive time. While it was difficult for the team to navigate through these losses, they found a hidden jewel on their squad.

Josh Butler, who signed at Dallas after a stay in the USFL in 2023, became a star, even though he played in just five games.

Butler had an outstanding performance against the Washington commanders. He ended with 12 tackles, a sack and three pass separations. His performance helped the cowboys to upset themselves.

Unfortunately, he was lost in the next week by a torn ACL. With all the news in this low season, Butler's advancement did not attract much attention, but head coach Brian Schottenheimer gave a positive update about Butler this weekend and said that he is “great”.

“He makes it great. He could possibly be on puppies. It is very early at the moment, but he makes it great in his rehab. He is here every day. He is one of the last to go.”

Butler saw the words from his new trainer and decided to take the chance to return the compliment. He announced on social media that he is excited to work with coach Schotty, who “does a great job to connect with everyone”.

Dallas is confident that both Diggs and Bland will be healthy this season. If so, you could have a lot of depth with Caelen Carson, Shovon Revel and even Butler.
