Jordan Cox is retired to promote fears in England after the testing

Jordan Cox triggered injured fears just a few days after the England Test squad professions in Zimbabwe.

Cox returned as a replacement batter in Brendon McCullum's 13-player squad, which was denied a debut in New Zealand in New Zealand at the end of last year after broken his thumbs in the nets before the opening test.

The versatile 24-year-old was preferred in the group of Durham Young Gun Ben McKinney on Friday, but his participation in the opening of the international summer of England from May 22nd could have doubts.

The former kent stroke stopped his page in a command position against Somerset in Taunton with an excellent third inner hundred, but seemed to be injured his side while working on the landmark after reaching a quick single for 99.

After Cox was addressed by three numbers with the reverse Jack Leach up to the point limit, Cox immediately took pain at his side and soon hurt.

He did not return when Essex 'ninth Wicket fell, with Somerset, who had previously had a tricky season, set a goal of 321 to win on a green and rotating surface.

It was unlikely that Cox made the XI against Zimbabwe with the former Kent colleague Zak Crawley to keep his place at the top of the order, and Ollie Pope at No. 3, with Jamie Smith returning from paternity vacation.

However, every possible injury would be a big blow for a player who could not keep the County Championship in the County Championship this summer when he recovered from the hand injury that will take place on tour in November.

Essex teammate Sam Cook, however, appears in line to play at Trent Bridge.
