Lions Rookie Ahmed Hassanin History of Violation and Edge Health Review

The Lions did not create a defensive end/edge player in the first three rounds (including me). It may not have been from the lack of attempts to see how Brad Holmes said after the disappointment that he had aggressively tried to exchange about 30 times in round 2 and 3.

The Lions finally took up a lead in the 6th round, which happened to be the only Egyptian who has ever been selected in the NFL design – Ahmed Hassanein.

Here is my analysis of his medical history together with the overview of the other important Edge players.

(Age at the beginning of the 2025 season)

Ahmed Hassanein (23) – signed until 2028

2024 In the last game, a suspected violation of the right ankle played. Played all 14 games.

2023 Played all 14 games. Shoulder labrum after the season.

2022 Played 12 out of 14 games. Increased injuries caused 1 missed game.

2021 Played 9 of 12 games.

With regard to his shoulder surgery, Hassanein has a full season of relaxation that is calming. However, it is something that can be monitored in the future.

With regard to his alleged ankle problem in his last college game, the evidence of evidence on video indicates that he has optimized existing right-wing sprain with low ankle. When checking the volume, I found no significant injury mechanism and his right ankle was already recorded at the beginning of the game. He was able to suspend the entire game and then take part in the east-west Schrein-Bowl exercises a month later, so that it was not too serious and there was evidence of recovery.

Hassanein should produce its rookie year healthy and ready. If you look at the rest of the group listed below, you will find that the two starters violate considerable injuries, the depth is to prove a lot and there is no long -term player beyond Aidan Hutchinson. All of these factors means that Hassanein has an excellent opportunity to influence his rookie season and become a core player for many years.

Forty years after the bracelets have inspired the world to go like an Egyptian, Hassanein can inspire the world to “release like an Egyptian”.

Aidan Hutchinson (25) – Team control by 2026

October 13, 2024: Left tibia/fibula fracture

Hutchinson has recently published very promising videos of his rehab. I expect him to be a full go go physically through a training camp. From a mental perspective, there can be a self -confidence hurdle at the beginning of the season that could affect its aggressiveness. It is also possible that he will take the time to optimize his technology to minimize the leg-whip mechanism.

Marcus Davenport (29) – signed until 2025

September 22, 2024: Left triceps tear

The last two seasons for Davenport did not go well for Davenport due to a triceps fracture and high ankle exception. Last year he only played in two games and four games a year before. The Lions signed him again in a 1-year incentive that was based on Proden-IT deal. Hopefully he can bounce back from the last two seasons and actually prove his reliability.

Josh Paschal (25) – signed until 2025

Paschal has a remarkable medical history, but is healthy in the last year of his rookie contract. With just 5 sacks, he was solid in his first three seasons, albeit unspectacular. The hope is that he can take a big step forward in this contract year.

Al -quadin Muhammad (30) – signed until 2025

Muhammad came to the Lions last season and was moderately productive with three bags in ten games. While he's going to be healthy next season, the main concern could be his six game suspension in 2023 for performance -enhancing substances. Further positive tests could lead to a 2-year suspension.

Mitchell Agude (26) – signed until 2025, then Erfa (exclusive right -wing -free agent)

After Agude spent most of the time last season with the exercise command, he played in four games towards the end and will be healthy next season. However, a serious head injury at the age of nine could be relevant if it has future concussions.

Isaac Ukwu (26) – then signed up until 2025

2020 ACL

2019 ACL (other side), MCL and meniscus tear

As an unusual rookie, Amongku only appeared in two games last season and should be healthy next. In the past, he has significant injuries to both knees, which must be considered.
