Carrier killed, driver injured in the car accident in the Sampson County

Sampson County, NC (WTVD) – One person was killed and another injured in a car accident in Sampson County on Saturday evening.

The accident occurred shortly before midnight in the Sattontown Road near Dallie Road and Newton Grove.

The investigators report that the driver of a Ford Explorer from 2002 on the Sattonown Road lost control and corresponded to a ditch. The SUV then rolled and rested in front of a house in the 5,600 block. The impact triggered the passenger in front of the front seat, who did not carry a seat belt out of the car.

The authorities confirmed that the passenger died and that their identity was not published.

The driver was brought to the Wake Medical Center to treat her injuries. Charges against the driver are still pending
