David Lee Roth triumphed in the first show in 5 years: Video, Set List

David Lee Roth achieved a triumphant comeback from a five-year absence on Saturday evening at the M3 Festival and, with the help of an eight-member volume, delivered a strong sentence van Halen classic.

“We reached the end of my first retirement,” joked the singer. “How many retirement had Rocky, nine?”

Roth used a new group of backing singers, a brilliant addition to his live show and a textbook example to transform a recent weakness into a strength. And yes, of course you made “I am” with the big Capella collapse.

It was Roth's first official show since he opened for the kiss in Lubbock Texas on March 10, 2020, shortly before the Pandemie of Covid-19 closes the tour. When Kiss returned to the street a year and a half later, they did so without the former van Halen singer.

Roth announced an early residence from Las Vegas in Las Vegas in October 2021, but canceled all these shows, citing unspecified health concerns.

According to reports, Roth has played a handful of private shows, but also a variety of unpublished songs, countless dance videos and occasionally published with his buddy Sammy Hagar on YouTube.

Although there is only another confirmed date for Roth's 2025 time plan of 2025 -September 12th in Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California -the singer seemed to interpret more at the end of the set. After repeatedly congratulating his band to play “A Perfect Fucking Show”, he told the crowd. “See you on the street … see you on the street!”
