2.96 billion USD refineries scandal: Kyari denies misconduct, says he is ready to calculate before God & Man

After the arrest of three refinery bosses because of the alleged mismanagement of an astonishing 2.96 billion US dollars, which are intended for the revision of the refineries of Nigeria, Mele Kyari has publicly publicly distanced from any financial wrong -time business.
The Economic and Finance Crime Commission (EFCC) last week the managing directors of NNPCLS refineries in Kaduna, Port Harcourt and Warri arrested in the growing concerns regarding the alleged embezzlement of funds that are intended for the lengthy rehabilitation projects.

With speculation, Kyari broke on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where he decided to make misconduct and his willingness to be held accountable -both before the Nigerian authorities and before God.

“I not only served my country, but also God. I am pleased to explain my responsibility.” Kyari wrote in a reflective article.

Kyari found that after the recent dissolution of the NNPCL board and the administration of the Tinubu administration, he is currently during a break. He emphasized that after 34 years of service – including 17 years in the lead and almost six years as CEO – he had little time for calm.

“I had little free time, not even two weeks of vacation” He said and thanked for the opportunity to serve former President Muhammadu Buhari and the current President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a firm explanation of integrity, Kyari explained: “I have to emphasize that I served with the fear of God and, as a Muslim, know that if I have not taken into account in front of humans, I will take into account even before Allah.”

His statement comes when public pressure brings a complete investigation into the full investigation of how almost $ 3 billion in public funds under the now elevated NNPCL leadership. The EFCC has not yet publicly associated Kyari with criminal charges, but the investigation has not yet been completed.
