The latest updates for Phillies injuries

Aaron Nola I made his planned start on Saturday, May 3, against the Arizona Diamondback, although he dealt with a neck problem that bothered him during warming. Nola said the right side of his neck was locked up and “would not pop”. The Phillies and Nola believe that the neck will not be a problem. Nola's last, non-created injured list stint came in 2017.

“Just a little tight with certain movements, but luckily it wasn't my left where I have to look towards the plate,” said Nola. “If it were on the left, it might have been a little different, but it was all good.”

  • Jose Ruiz (Neck cramp)
  • Status: 15 days injured list (retrospectively by May 1)
  • Ruiz was placed on the IL minutes before the game started on May 3, against the diamondback with a neck cramp. The Phillies had to clear a squad square for Suárez, so that the Phillies can keep Ruiz and Reliever Carlos Hernandez. – Finally updated on May 3rd by Destiny Lugardo
  • Andrew Painter (Tommy John Operation)
  • Status: Will start the next start with Triple-A Lehigh Valley
  • The top prospect Andrew Painter should be in line to express his debut at his Big League debut in “Juliish” as President of the Baseball operations by Phillies, Dave Dombrowski, in this off-season. He did not make himself in a regular game of the season since he injured his elbow in spring 2023, but he should be ready to achieve an influence as soon as he has risen, even in a limited workload.
  • Painter is promoted to Triple-A. He will make his next start on May 8th against Worcester. – Finally updated on May 3rd by Destiny Lugardo
