Further charges for 2 suspects who are bound to the crime on July 2024

Chicago – The law enforcement agencies caught up with a few prison prison prisoners who were associated with two attempted carjackings in Mount Greenwood that took place in July 2024.

Angel Contreras and James Robinson, both 21, were custody in November 2024 by the Chicago police and the US marshals Great Lakes. The two have been in custody in Cook County since November. Both are already in front of a laundry list of crimes, including murder, vehicle drafting, heavy armed robbery and unloading of a firearm.

The two are accused of several robberies that started in the early morning hours of July 23, 2024, starting with the attempted murder of a police officer from the service in Chicago. According to the police, a group of potential armed Carjackers confronted with the extra -curricular police officer in the 10800 block of the South Campbell Avenue when he left to work. When the group tried to box the non -servant officer in his entrance, shots were replaced, but nobody was injured.

Minutes before, the group tried to Carjack a 42-year-old woman with a weapon in the 10900 block of the South Oakley Avenue. Later in the morning the group went to Lansing, where the police said they had committed two more robberies and vehicles from vehicles.

After months of investigation, the Chicago Robinson and Contreras police connected with the incidents in July 2024 in the 22nd Chicago Police District.

In addition, the police said that Robinson was identified as a suspect on July 22, 2024 in five other incidents. Both suspects remain in custody of the Sheriff Cook County.
