TCU wins 2025 Beach volleyball championship

The TCU won its first beach volleyball championship and defeated Loyola Marymount 3-2 in the title. This was the first time in the history of NC Beach Volleyball that Ucla or Southern Cal did not take the trophy home with them.

The 2025 NC Beach Volleyball Championship with the selection show, live on NCAA.com, and on May 4th ended with the national championship game, all of which took place in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

The NCAA Beach Volleyball Committee announced the 16-team field for the championship.

2025 NC Beach Volleyball Championship format

The 2025 NC Beach Volleyball Championship Bracket consisted of 16 teams, with eight being produced as automatic qualification features through conference championships. The selected teams were sown in the bracket.

The championship was played in single elimination duals with 10 student athletes in five couples of each team. The dual-Meet match was formatted in five best-of-throats, couple matches, with each couple match being worth a point.

Championship history

Southern California defeated the UCLA 3-0 in last year's National Championship to request its fourth title in a row. The Trojans have had most of the titles since the first NC Beach Volleyball Championship in 2016 with six.
