It plays in Haiti and immerses the effects of the 2010 earthquake on mental health.

After the screening, there was a panel discussion with culturally informed therapists.

The director and filmmaker Jean-René Rinvil says that he wants to continue to involve the community on a topic that is often considered taboo.

“A lot of time we think, okay, hey, if you have a physical problem, do you advise what? You go to the doctor. But if it is mentally, nobody wants to look for this kind of help,” he said. “So it opened the door for me that more people have opened the help they need.”

May is the Haitian cultural session, and the community plans to celebrate with a series of events that led to Haitian Flag Day on May 18.
