Fayetteville, NC (WTVD) – One person is dead in Fayetteeville after shooting on Sunday morning.

The police said the officers answered shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Barton's landing site for calls to the incident.

When officials arrived, they said they found a person who had been shot several times in the upper body. The victim was taken to the hospital, where they died later.

The authorities have not published the identity of the victim or other details.
