The 18-year-old critically injured the single car crash NBC 7 San Diego

An 18-year-old woman was critically injured in the municipality of Mountain View in San Diego during an accident on Sunday morning, the authorities said.

A 21-year-old man behind the steering wheel of a 2009 Honda Accord took off the offramp from the Interstate 805 to the south at 2:35 a.m. and could not stop at the red traffic light of the Imperial Avenue, the police from San Diego reported.

The car jumped the average median and hit a traffic signal light cabinet. The 18-year-old woman who was not wearing a seat belt was thrown forward and hit the front windshield.

Maza hurried to a hospital in a critical condition.

No other immediate information was available.
