Difficult report arises on the knee injury of Texan WR Tank Dell

The Houston Texans Wide Receiver Tank Dell suffered a significant knee injury at the end of last season, and it sounds like he was not taking on the field in 2025.

Dell promised his knee and tore up several ligaments after caught a touchdown pass from CJ Stroud last season last season. He needed several operations, the last of which was in March.

While Dell is supposed to make progress, he is still a long way to recover. In a story published on Sunday, Jonathan Alexander von der Chronicle from Houston looked at the current Wide Receiver situation of the Texans that Dell will probably not play this coming season.

“Dell will most likely miss the 2025 season and, given the type of knee injury and the time of his ACL surgery, which only took place two months ago, to which physically will not be able to conduct the kind of knee injury,” wrote Alexander. “The schedule for ACL injuries is usually six to 12 months. Dell has also contaminated his knee, tore other ligaments and damaged its meniscus.”

Dell ended with 51 catches for 667 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games last season. He was limited to 11 games as a rookie in 2023 after broken his fibula in week 13. So the 25-year-old already has a long history of injury.

The Texans have one of the best broad recipients in the NFL in Nico Collins. She also acquired Christian Kirk in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars this low season. Nevertheless, in the second or third round, Houston still decided to design Wide Receiver Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel – former teammates in the state of Iowa.
