One person is in the hospital after police officers said they crashed between two trees in Durham on Sunday evening.

According to the Durham police authority, the officers reacted to a crash at around 9:14 p.m. in the Cole Mill Road and the Jefferson Drive.

The police said two vehicles collided, which led to one of them going down a embankment and was held between trees.

The police said that non -life -threatening injuries had been reported and a person had been taken to the hospital for treatment.

The police have closed the Cole Mill Road on traffic and advises drivers to take an alternative route.
