Sean Penn believes that Donald Trump “could try to destroy the world”.

Sean Penn recently appeared in Jim Acostas Substack Podcast to talk about the new film “Word of War”, and the discussion was sufficient in several topics in world politics. The always pronounced actor and activist did not hold his thoughts about the risk of President Trump and the direction in which the country leads.

While he spoke about El Salvador's President Nayib Bukele and whether Trump will try to meet in the White House after his tenure, Penn said that “we should consider the worst scenarios” and that Trump could “try to destroy the world before he decreases”.

“I think it is a reasonable theory that Donald Trump is not unlike the spouse who leaves him, perhaps for another who then murdered your former partner, because if you can't have her, nobody can,” said Penn. “I think Donald Trump and his solipsism may have this relationship with the world and that this destruction is partly a power game and also a literal intention of his final.”

Congressman Eric Swalwell, an executive producer in “Words of War” together with Penn and also a guest in the podcast, said: “What worries me if he does not believe that there is someone who can protect him, you will see what he is ready to protect himself.

“Our only hope is a congress that will check it, a press reported, a dish that is independent to decide on it, and a city square full of Americans who say” hell no, “said Swalwell.

Maxine Peak and Jason Isaacs play in “Words of War” about the late Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya, who was murdered in 2005 outside the elevator of her Moscow apartment.

When Penn talked about Russia and the topic of the film and said: “Those who believe that it cannot happen here have also examined the certain signs that this will be the case, unless people are involved and they are trained.”

“We try in our country what the Russians went through,” warned Penn.

“Words of War” now plays in selected theaters.
