Mavericks scored five goals in the third period to gather Tahoe Knight Monsters in the playoff match in the second round

Independence, Mo. (KCTV) – it was not easy, but it was a victory. The KC Mavericks scored the Taoe Knight Monsters 5: 3 in the first game in the first game of one of their playoff series in the second round. With the victory, the Mavericks jumped into a 1-0 series.

“We just shaked away, picked up and thrown Pucks on the net,” said Mac's striker, Marcus Crawford, who scored the gaming goal. “Good things happen when you put things online.”

The Knight Monsters scored the only goal in the first two periods of the game to bring a 1-0 lead into the third. Casey Carreau quickly scored a short-angry goal to start the last period-etwas, what Mav's head coach and GM Tad O'Had said, was the key to victory.

“Casey Carreau with this first goal to get us and run,” said O'Had when he was asked what the comeback stimulated. “We had talked about really igniting this start of the third start. Casey achieved this bathroom angle goal, and then it really started.”

The 5 goals of the MAVs in the third period were enough to secure victory. Cade Borchardt of empty nicer with less than two minutes to play the victory.

“I think we showed resistance all year round,” said Carrau after the game. “There was no termination. We felt that we had them. We gave up a few power play goals, but we did our job five against five. We captured our game plan and worked things.”

The MAVs have to support their penalty for the rest of the series. Tahoe – One of the best teams in Echl with a man's advantage – scored three times in the power play.
