SOD Poodles achieves five runs in the seventh inning to climb to win, win the second series in a row

Midland, Texas (KfDA) -The Amarillo SOD Podles won the 6-2 victory over the Midland Rockhounds in game 6 on Sunday, to get their third victory in a row and second victory in a row.

Midland first climbed onto the board with a run, but the SOD podles reacted with a Tommy Troy RBI who scored Jack Hurley to the top of the third. Midland had a solo shot to take the lead again in the sixth.

Amarillo closed in the seventh Inning and achieved five runs in a row to close the rock hounds and finally won the game.

Kristian Robinson started the campaign and won the RBI and achieved Andy Weber. Troy would pick up his second RBI after putting single to Jose Fernandez on a line. Manuel Pena would also record the RBI single to achieve Robinson, and Christian Cerda would round the Inning on a SAC fly that Troy scored.

Avery Short had the start and victory on the hill today after he had allowed two runs from five goals while forced five strikes to be in six in our inning.

The Soddies are now 12-15 overall and are in fourth place in Texas League South, only one game behind Midland in third and two behind San Antonio in second place.

Amarillo will be back in Hodgetown this week and organize the Tulsa drills in a series with six games. The first pitch on Tuesday is set for 11:05 a.m. CST.
