NBA-Play-offs: Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors defeated Houston Rockets

Stephen Curry said that the Golden State Warriors had to “Graben” the Houston Rockets 103-89 in the decisive game of their Western Play-off series of the Western Conference.

The Warriors led the best-of-Seven series 3-1 before the Rockets moved 3: 3 to the last game in Houston at the level.

Curry scored 14 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter, while team-mate Buddy Hield hunted nine three-point pointers in his 33-year-old game with 33 three-divers when the couple helped the Warriors to set up a semi-finals of the Western Conference against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“A lot of resilience and everyone appear,” said Curry when he was asked what was necessary to secure victory.

“Everyone in the last two games in terms of our execution, our energy, spoke all of this about our team.

“We blocked everything and only understood that we had 48 minutes to dig deeply. Everyone contributed. Buddy Hield was incredible.”

Jimmy Butler, who came to the Warriors in a trade from Miami Heat in February, contributed 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

“So that we can build chemistry during the running and build up trust in the ongoing structure and how to appear in a seven game, this means the world,” added Curry.

“So, mission fulfilled – step one.”

The Rockets were second compared to the seventh place of the Warriors in the regular season of the Western Conference.

The defeat of Houston in the decider meant that the 14th team was not 3-1 to win an NBA-Play-off series.

In the meantime, the Indiana Pacers 121-112 won the Cleveland Cavaliers to take the lead 1-0 in their semi-final play-off series of the Eastern Conference.

Andrew Nembhard Top scored with 23 points for the Pacers, while team -mate Tyrese Haliburton added 22.

The Cavaliers, who ended the Eastern Conference, were beaten in the first round for the first time in the play-offs this season after their 4-0 victory against Miami in the play-off series.

“We are definitely the heavy outsider, but we try to control what we can do,” said Haliburton. “We certainly have a lot of momentum, but this is the best team in our conference. You don't lose much.”
