Community members urge Marin County Road – NBC Bay Area after a fatal crash

From tragedy to the chance of changes?

There is now a petition to close the street in which four students were killed in West Marin County.

There is a growing monument in the San Geronimo Valley Road in West Marin County, which is still visited by mourners, more than a week after a violent accident, in which four teenagers were killed and two more were sent to the hospital.

The curvy County Road is an old highway and one of the only paths in Woodacre, a non -legal city of almost 1,500.

There is now an online petition to limit cars in the San Geronimo Valley Road, and quotes the recent fatal crash and another crash last year, in which two students were injured.

“After the accident last year, I found that I was driving less and less on it,” said Votch Levi, based in Woodacre. “It is dark and it has a few” S “turns that are difficult, it is tight, Hirsch always jumps on it.” ''

The petent added that the street is often used by horse sides, cyclists or joggers and that it would not significantly disturb the local traffic patterns.

But some people do not agree with the petition.

“Here we access the post office and go down where there are many houses, the Anderson church at the end,” said Amy Coffman, more alive in Woodacre.

Andrew Andersen would also affect the local market and the city's deli.

“Accidents occur on every single street,” he said. “The customers come down here who live here, they want to get down to the shop.”

Marin County officers said that there are currently no plans to make any changes in this route, and that it was still waiting for the official reports of California Highway Patrol from the recent crash, and then the district would have to collect data before they consider changes.

“I think

While the community deals with healing, they also look for answers so that it never has to go through it again.

“I think it would be a shame to close it, but maybe make a possibility or maybe put some guardrails on it,” said Levi.
