Selecting what your child should call is one of the greatest decisions that you will make for your child. It is something you have to live with every day for the rest of your life – or until you are old enough to change it. However, if the name trends change every year, it can be difficult to agree on the name you should choose.

To help, Nameberry from BabyName Site shared with the most wanted names from every country in the world that they shared on their social media platforms. However, some name trends have people who question the names of other parents.

“What names tend in your home country?” Nameberry's Emma Waterhouse asked at the beginning of the Tikok video. “The popularity diagrams of Nameberry are great to predict the next big names, and we have separated our data from visitor country to determine which names were most popular last year.”

She further emphasized that these were the names that were most viewed on their website and does not mean that they are the most common names.

For Australia, the most respected maiden names Eloise, Elodie, Hazel, Daphne and Amelia were. In the meantime, Theodore, Finley, Lucas, Jew and Felix were the most popular boys names. For Brazil, the most popular names for girls Olivia, Cecilia, Maeve, Elodie and Aurora were. For boys, however, the most popular names were Zephyr, Kai, Vinicius, Milo and Oliver.

Canada has similar trends to Australia – with Eloise, Maeve, Violet, Isla and Aurelia are the most sought -after names for girls, and Felix, August, Silas, Rowan and Theodore are popular names for boys. However, it took a strange turn when she came to China.

While the list of girls looked normal – with Evelyn the list, followed by Olivia, Eloise, Jenny and Luna – was the most popular boy name magician. Liam, Jayden, Henry and Lucas followed.

Assistant was far from it, the only unusual name that appeared on these lists, since the name luxury also appeared on several lists.

“Our viewers in India love word names, i.e. unique, royal, beauty, aiza and luxury, exceed the charts,” revealed Emma. “And for boys, quite similar, royal, luxury, danger, Azlan and Agastya.”

Luxury later showed itself on the top list of boy names in Germany and Italy. In the meantime, the rest of the lists for Finland, France, Ghana and Israel as former countries were fairly similar, with the exception of Ireland, which had a special interest in Irish names.

“Okay, who keeps looking at assistants?” The company wrote in the title of the video and they were not the only ones with this question.

In the comment area of the video, one person joked: “Some people should need a license for a child.”

“What about luxury,” commented a second viewer together with a confused emoji.

However, not everyone was convinced of the accuracy of the data of Nameberry, as a person argued: “I really don't think this list for Brazil – these are names that normally occur in English -speaking countries.”

Another viewer replied: “Right for Germany.”
