Sport highlights from the Saginaw region: Win Swan Valley Snares in the softball tournament

Swan Valley won a victory at her own softball tournament on Saturday and candided Standish-Sterling after two difficult losses.

The Vikings lost to Traverse City Central, 6-5 and South Lyon (5: 2), with the only win in a 6: 5 decision about Standish-Sterling.

Alivia Guilbeaux led the Vikings with three goals and two RBIs against Central, whereby Hailey Koch and Greer Thefenbach each add two goals.

During the defeat against South Lyon, Shiloh Charboneau led the offensive with a triple walk and two runs.

Against Standish-Sterling, Grace Kerby achieved the victory in relief and achieved two in 1 1/3 Shutout-Internings. Izzy Coffel led the offensive with three goals and three runs, while Koch added two goals and three RBIs. Violet Boehler ended with two goals and two RBIs for the Vikings.

Softball

Grass Lake tournament: Hemlock divided a few games in the Grass Lake tournament and opened with a 7: 6 victory against Lansing Catholic. Carley Noyes won the victory and beat five in seven innings. Maddie Hall led the offense with three goals, while Lillian Martinez added two goals. Audrey Vasher drove into three and Allison Cordely Two. Hemlock followed with a loss of 11: 4 against Grass Lake. Addison Stockford led the huskies with three goals, while Martinez added a goal and two walks.

Frankenmuth invitation: Frankenmuth went 2-1 in his own invitation and started with a 7: 6 victory against Dexter. Bri Barker had two goals with a Homer, while Chloe Compau scored and drove in three runs for the Eagles. Siena Bosco stole two bases. Frankenmuth followed with an 11: 1 win against Howell, with Bosco led the offensive with four goals, including a Homer and six RBIs. Emma Spirwlwlowl met and drove in two runs, while Barker scored three runs. Compau allowed two goals and beat 12 in five innings. The Eagles dropped the last game 11-1 in Utica Ford.

baseball

Goodrich 4-5, Frankenmuth 2-3: Frankenmuth lost two close games against Goodrich in a non-conference double header. Logan Diener had a walk, a double, stolen base, hit by Pitch, Run and RBI for Frankenmuth in the Opener, whereby Hagan Wasser and Tristan Huizar each drew two walks. Luke Purves led the Frankenmuth offensive in the second game with two goals, with Wäscher and EJ Bernthal driving in runs.

Breckenridge 10-10, Coleman 2-1: Travis Murray and Kyler Young each had two goals for Coleman in the Opener, with Murray driving in two runs. Murray added two hits in the night drink.

Boys' route

Pine River All-Ssports Day: Coleman finished fourth in the boys and girls divisions at the Leroy Pine River All-Sports Day Met, with the Leroy-Pine River winning the boy title and Lakeview, who claimed the girl title. Coleman won three boys' events: Logan Dudley in 3,200 (11: 35.59), Gage Miller in Diskus (118-7) and Dominic Lawrence in the long jump (17-6).
