The early offensive production was something that the softball head coach from Whaler, Grace-Anne Tornovish, was looking for their team all season, and on Sunday they produced seven first inning runs to create the stage for a 22-run appearance and a 22:6 win over the vineyard on Sunday afternoon.

Shelbi Harimon and Sophia Yelverton led the Whaler rally in the first inning with triple. Nantucket had six goals in the inning and caused all of her damage with two outs after her first two rackets flown to the left and in the middle of the field.

Apart from the third inning, the whaling in every inning could achieve runs. They generated three other runs in the second, two in the fourth inning and five in the fifth inning and five in the sixth inning to end the first inning early due to the merciful rule.

The victory improved the record of the softball team to 2: 8 this season and grabbed their five games lost series because on Friday they had lost 17-12 against St. John Paul II just two days earlier.

Nantucket will try to win the third game of the year if you travel to Sturgis East Storm on Wednesday, May 7th to play the Sturgis EastTH at 3:15 p.m.
