View of the second round of the NBA playoffs

At the beginning of the first round of the NBA playoffs, I wrote a column about which teams I would root in the first round. When the first round ended on Sunday evening – although not before the start of the second round – we look back on the first round to see whether the teams I wanted to win did. And because I can multitasking, we are also looking forward to who I will fight for in the second round. As in March Madness, the root of a team in a game or a series does not oblige me to stick to this team against their next opponent.

As with the previous column, I will follow the sun and start east and then move west.

1. Cleveland Cavaliers vs. 4. Indiana Pacers

In the first round I wanted the heat and the goats to win. For the CAVS Heat series, I said this (and correctly predicted the result):

Unfortunately, my remaining feelings for the heat, even without playoff Jimmy, let me root for them – but it probably won't matter. In the second round I assume that I will choose between the Cavs and the Bucks or Pacers.

For the Pacers-Bucks, the team that I wanted to win again, it didn't do very close. Even worse, this was my comment on Damian Lillard's comeback by injury:

While the latter two are abandoned, the Bucks still have Giannis, which is sufficient for me, especially when Damian Lillard comes back from his Wembanyama-like injury. That would also be encouraging for Victor's own forecast.

I did not predict the actual injury to lady – a torn Achilles. This injury, which the goats doomed for the next season, was failed and widely regarded as the event that can lead to the third best player in the NBA. The goats may want to quickly set someone with experience in this type of trade: Nico Harrison.

Cavs vs. Pacers is a fascinating match-up of the second round, in which the cavs are rightly preferred. Amazing fact -Donovan Mitchell has the 9th highest playoff value average Always With over 27 points per game. But the Pacers are both well and underestimated.

Although I am rooted against both in round one against both, I have slightly positive feelings in relation to both. Several good friends are Cavs fans, and the Pacers have the ABA Spurs connection. From the point of view of a trainer, the Cavs play great D and the Pacers move the ball very well on the offensive.

I planned to meet this for a season. I switched on the game on Sunday afternoon and my heart … couldn't decide. I think I will only root for a 7-game series. The Pacers' Game One Stuhl-Sieg in Cleveland makes this a bit more likely, although winning the game of a Pacer was largely based on a non-sustainable three-point shooting differential. If this continues, the Pacers can only blow out the cavs.

2. Boston Celtics against 3rd New York Knicks

In the first round, I essentially disturbed Celtics vs. Magic:

Although I am a reformed former Laker fan, it remains difficult to fight for the green. However, this series feels as if it were going as much as OKC Memphis. The Celtics will probably win in 4 or 5 games, so that my precious root capital does not have to waste in this series.

On the other side of the bracket, I rooted mildly for the knicks over the piston. My temporary affection for the Knicks came back to two things:

Over time, I started rooting my friends' teams so that my friends are happy. Strange concept, I know. I have several good friends who are Big Knick fans, so I will root for their luck about the great story that this year's pistons are. It also helps that the Knicks have all these Villanova boys.

However, it is not very pleasant to see this ex-trainer and still trace fan. I like going past and making a ball movement, and a few players touch the ball. The offensive of the Knicks, especially in fourth quarters, is Jalen Brunson, who drives the ball until his defender gets out of balance so that he can shoot. Although it works pretty well and Brunson is very good at it, I don't like to see it. I am sure that Gregg Popovich feels the same.

Will the Knick's offensive pop and me annoy me that we start fighting for the Celtics and ex-track Derrick White? If so, I accuse Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau.

1. Oklahoma City Thunder vs. 4. Denver Nuggets

I was 1000% correct with this comment on the match-up of Thunder-Gizzlies:

Like a car accident on the street, nothing can be seen. Just go on.

The other match-up was also an easy call. My third favorite team, the nuggets, against the El Segundos alias the Clipper. I said:

In my April Fool's joke a few years ago, Adam Silver renewed the El Segundos because they will always be the second team. Adding James Harden moved the needle even further.

In six games, the Nuggets – Clippers series was the best of the first round. The Clippers were considered the better team, although it was the smallest of edges. (Is someone still amused, how different “”, “thought” and “by” changing a single letter? What is the reason why the English language is so “hard”. See what I did there?)

And then the game seven passed. James Harden had a classic hard-out game with only 7 points on 2-8 filming, even though he had a few templates. After the clipper were listed by 5 after the first quarter, the nuggets exceeded the Clipper in the second quarter. And to prove that it was not a coincidence, the nuggets exceeded the Clippers by 16 in the third quarter. A few minutes later, the nuggets rose due to the visually appealing score of 99-66. During the outbreak, Trace fans and I were blessed with this recording by one of our favorite players next to one of ours.

While that was on the screen, I wrote a friend of a SMS that the nuggets had to get all of their starters out to take a little more break before they traveled to OKC.

Game 1 is Monday evening. I will get up hard for the nuggets, but I'm afraid that OKC could be too deep and talented for this Denver team. The nuggets essentially only play 7 boys, of which a Russell is Westbrook, who will either play great or terrible games, with nothing in between.

6. Minnesota Timberwolves vs. 7. Golden State Warriors

I received some hard words from some of my La friends when I announced that I would root for the T'wolves about my ex-favorite team, the Lakers for the T'wolves. My buddy Mike announced that he would revoke our friendship and bended me, only “roots for the damn laundry”. Mike had returned to my old blog post from October 28, 2013 to do without my Laker Fandom, although the game I took part in was a Laker victory over the Clipper:

While I was in the game and was happy, the Clippers (no band car fan I) lost, it was pretty surreal. My favorite laker Pau only played 24 minutes. Former Laker Jordan Farmer returned and played this with the above No. 7, Shawnee, a guy named Johnson who takes care of him, Kaman, and ex-Trojan Bad Shot-Aker Nick Young. It was difficult for the boys who wore this color laundry just because I really knew the same laundry in years of Laker players. “

In the same contribution, I announced that I replaced the Lakers by the Warriors as my “second for the favorite team of the Spurs”. Note that this had become very good before the campaign of the warriors, since they had not yet disposed of Mark Jackson as a coach, Sie Steve Kerr at the end of the 2103-2014 season:

Steph Curry went to Davidson, where he with the son of Haverford College with residents and the football legend Phil Zipin Rumhing – Phil's son says Steph is a good guy. He is also a great shooter, as I dream of it. So that's one. The son of Laker and former Laker player Michael Thompson's son is the other guard and also seems to be a good guy. Also a great shooter. That is two. Andrew Bogut comes from Australia and we have 2 great friends from Australia. And he is a great passer -by. That's three. Iguadola is a great defender, team player, seems to be a really good guy. That is four. Harrison Barnes, now back as a 6th man, went to North Carolina, whom I usually don't like, but the Tar Heel legend Bob Bennett is one of the best people in the world. So that helps. I liked Warrior Great Rick Barry very much when I grew up. And the former Claremont player and all-American Chris Greene is a warrior fan back. That's enough for me. Warrior all the way, baby!

After the impressive victory of the Warriors in Houston, we have a showdown of 6 vs. 7 and you know who I want to win. Warrior all the way, baby!
