How many teams do the NBA playoffs do?

The NBA playoffs, eight teams from the Eastern and Western Conference, make a total of sixteen teams. The six top seeds in each conference charge based on the regular season record. The last two seeds of each conference are determined by the NBA-Play-in tournament.
