Accessoire maker who is leaked Switch 2

The accessory manufacturer, who went through the Switch 2 console and its peripheral devices, responded to his ongoing lawsuit at Nintendo.

On May 2, 2025, Nintendo announced that it would take legal steps against Genki after unofficial “models and renderings” of the Nintendo Switch 2. The manufacturer of accessories from third -party providers showed the products during the CES 2025, whereby the players would look like an early splendor about the upcoming systems before the release of June 5.

According to the lawsuit, however, Nintendo said that Genki was not entitled to access the preliminary publication models, and explained that it was “unlikely” that they ever had access to the console.

The Japanese video game company also insists that Genki had “missigned” Nintendo fans and confused that they could offer compatible accessories.

Genki reacts to the lawsuit of Nintendo

Genki replied on May 5: “You may have seen Nintendo recently filed a lawsuit against us. We take it seriously and work with legal advisors to answer thoughtfully,” they said on X.

“What we can say: Genki has always been an independent company that focuses on building innovative game accessories for the community that we love. We are proud of the work we have done and we are on the quality and originality of our products.”

Despite the ongoing lawsuit, Genki has announced that they will present their latest products in Pax East, which will begin on May 8th. They also thanked the fans for their support and sworn to continue to produce gaming products from third-party providers.

“We are grateful for the overwhelming support that we have received so far. We will share more if we can, but at the moment we are concentrating on doing what we can best do: to build equipment for players.”
