The victim of transgender hatred crimes has been attacked several times. Lapd appeals for information

Suspect who supposedly committed a number of hate crimes after sexual assault

The Rampart Department of the Los Angeles department asks for the help of the public in the identification of additional victims and suspects in a hate crime and an attack in which a transgender woman is involved in the Westlake area.

According to the police, the first attack occurred on April 8 when a 61-year-old woman worked in her shop. The authorities said a man entered the shop and started flirting with her. After rejecting his progress, he only went back to the ground a short time later. The police said the suspect sexually attacked the woman before realizing that she was transgender. Then he retired and supposedly threatened to kill her.

In the following days, the police said that the suspect had returned to the place several times, sometimes accompanied by others and continued to aim at the victim with violence, which was motivated by hate.

During an incident, the suspect reported that the woman hit a skateboard. On another occasion, he supposedly sprayed her with pepper spray, and in a last attack the authorities said that he had thrown an unknown liquid on her while another suspect tried to numb it with a taser.
