The US security authorities of the US security authorities under the government of President Donald Trump have intensified internal studies on leaks for the media, whereby the FBI is now using polygraphent tests to identify sources for non -authorized disclosures, said current and former civil servants.

The FBI confirmed that it recently started as part of its leak examinations with the administration of polygraphs with the administration of polygraphs – as a Lie -detector tests.

While polygraphs have traditionally been used during the security approval procedure, their extended use in internal probes marks a remarkable shift.

An FBI spokesman found that the severity of the leaks, which may affect the security protocols, prompted the new measures.

The procedure agrees with the updated guidelines of General Prosecutor Pam Bondi, which expand the scope of criminal offenses with “privileged or sensitive” information – not just classified data.

Officials about agencies, including the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security, report on a terrifying influence on morality.

Some employees avoid contact with journalists or even in social events that arise for fear of surveillance or reprisals.

Defense Minister Pete Hegseth has also supported the use of polygraph and examines high -ranking officials for leaks.

Critics, including former secret service officers, warn that the measures promote a climate of independence from anxiety and damage authority.

“They not only aim at classified leaks – they follow Dissens,” said a former official.

The director of the National Secret Service, Tulsi Gabbard, recently confirmed criminal transfers for several leaks and promised cooperation with the Ministry of Justice to identify and pursue those responsible.

Former officials compared the atmosphere with authoritarian regimens and warned that the oppression of internal criticism could endanger national decision -making.

Polygraphs are controversial; Experts find that they have not recognized the truth and have led to false positive results in the past.

Nevertheless, their extended use reflects the aggressive attitude of the administration compared to internal dissent and media exposure.

The Ministry of Justice has not further informed itself about potential law enforcement measures.
