The police said Singh and his passenger ran away before the crash.

The officials could not catch up with them far from the intersection.

“When they contacted them, they also found that they had agreed injuries that confirmed that they were in a traffic collision,” said Fresno's spokeswoman, Diana Truba-Vega.

“After speaking, one of them admitted that he was the driver.”

Action News has learned that Singh was condemned under the influence in 2023 for driving.

Court documents show that Singh's blood alcohol level was more than the two -time of the legal limit at the time of the previous DUI.

He is still on probation for the 2023 crime.

When Singh fell against the teenagers on Friday evening, the police said that he was driving his friend's range without permission.

He is now facing a long list of new charges, including the theft of a vehicle and murder.

Legal expert Tony Capozzi does not represent Singh, but he defended similar cases.

He said Singh could be sentenced to 15 years behind bars.

“What we have here now is under the influence after he was advised under the so -called Watson Council. When he last went to court and had no competition for driving under influence, he was informed that they could be charged with murder when they drive a car while killing them,” said Capozzi.

Capozzi said that Singh will probably be exposed to harder punishment if Galvez died after the crash and the unidentified friend was injured.

“It is clearly a serious case. Two lives were lost, two innocent life that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It is only very unhappy,” said Capozzi.

Singh's deposit has more than 1.3 million US dollars.

Galvez's has set up a donation page that helps in this heartbreaking time.
