Why Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce skipped the Met Gala

Swifties will be disappointed to find out that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are not in the Met Gala this year. The fans hoped that the Celebrity Power couple discovered the famous steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art after the discovery of Kelce in New York City at the weekend.

Swift has not been in the Met Gala for almost a decade Page six. After the end of the football season and the Eras tour from Swift, the few spent time with the family, watched homemade meals and watched films.

This year's MET GALA topic “Superfine: Tacoring Black Style” is based on Monica Miller's book Slaves to fashion: black dandyism and the styling of black diasporic identity. The Co-chairman of the Gala 2025 includes Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, A $ Ap Rocky, and Anna Wintour, with LeBron James, who has appointed honorary chair.

Swift last took part in the Met Gala in 2016. The pop star embodied the futuristic theme of the event – set on fire “Manus X Machina: Fashion in a age of technology” – in a section Louis Vuitton MiniDress with a silver snake cabin pattern. Swift made a platinum blonde bob and served in addition to Wintour, Idris Elba and the Chief Design Officer by Apple Jonathan Ive.
