Back for suspended U -Bahn -Sergeant rose to 1 million US dollars | Dishes

One judge increased the deposit on Monday to 1 million US dollars due to a sergeant of the exposed metropolitan Police Department after an attempt to exclude the judge from the other criminal proceedings of the Sergeant.

The 43-year-old Kevin Menon was accused of illegally capturing people on the strip, dealing with children's sexual abuse and building bathroom cameras who recorded the genitals and the buttocks of his wife and sister-in-law who said that the videos are consensual.

District judge Ronald Israel said that at the request of the public prosecutor, he had increased at the request of the public prosecutors due to the allegations in the case of the bathing room videos.

Israel was the subject of a disqualification application in the Strip case, which was based on an argument of defense lawyer that he was “at least one implicit prejudices” because abuse that his daughter has made, is examined by the same U -Bahn unit that is used in Menon, and possibly led to the fact that the legal connections are unsuitable for the police are.

Metro said there is no investigation of Israel, whose daughter claimed in YouTube and Tikok videos that her life was “completely at risk” that her father held her back to health care and that he “tried to pull a weapon to her”.

District judge Mark Denton denied the disqualification attempt in a decision on April 29, but issued a 14-day stay to enable an appointment.

Defender Dominic Gentile, who represents the Menon in the Strip case and campaigned for the Disqualification attempt, said that he is planning to submit a petition for the state's Supreme Court to check the decision on the disqualification of Israel, and will therefore ask that the case will be interrupted while this complaint is received.

Israel also explained Menon at the hearing on Monday, the defense lawyer Robert Draskovich said Menon explaining Menon to maintain services and forensic studies at the expense of the district. The determination will not cover Menon's lawyers' fees, he said.

Draskovich said the new deposit would keep his clients in custody. Menon could also not come up with the previous deposit of 500,000 US dollars, he said.

The bathroom videos and child pornography cases were combined, based on an agreement between Draskovich and prosecutors. Menon's process in the consolidated case is planned for August 18.
