18-year-old shot, killed

The authorities in Spotslyvania County state that they still decide whether they should charge a homeowner in the Fredericksburg region at the deadly weekend of a teenager. The investigators say the 18-year-old is one of three teenagers into the man's house.

Neighbors tell Fox 5 that the homeowner who shot the teenager in his house on Saturday is the military.

What we know:

The young man who was shot was 18-year-old Michael Bosworth Jr., his family, he played lacrosse and football for the Massaponax High School. In fact, the Varsity Lacrosse game was canceled on Monday evening because of Bosworth's death.

Officials of the sheriff office of the sheriff of Spotsylvania County say that Bosworth and two young people in the backyard of a house in the McKenzie Lane were in the house at around three in the morning and tried to break into the house when they were confronted by the homeowner.

Bosworth was shot and killed. One of the other boys was wounded in the shots.

The neighbors tell Fox 5 that they heard up to eight shots and that the teenagers tried to break into other houses on the street that night.

The boys who survived tell the investigators that they take up “things and ditch” for a Tikok challenge and did not try to commit break -ins.

Mourning consultants were at the Massaponax High School on Monday. Bosworth should graduate later this month. FOX 5 was announced that the prom on Saturday evening took as planned.

Michael's stepfather says that she mourns her son who had siblings and that they appreciate the love and support they receive from the community.
