Hernández found a home behind the three MVPs in the line -up in Shoei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. He has become an elite run producer and has filled his role perfectly with this MLB-Best Dodgers team.

Roberts said Hernández felt the injury when he followed a line in the gap in the third inning of the game on Monday. He felt tight in both his thigh and in his adductor.

The Dodgers were able to flee the Marlins without Hernández in Miami and have two more games before they started a huge four-game series against the National League West Rival Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Dodgers offensive will already be Tommy Edman for at least the first two games of the weekend series without Star Utility Man, because he was put on the injured list due to an ankle injury that he had suffered last week. He can return on Saturday at the earliest.

The Dodgers will hope that Hernández will not suffer a similar fate, but they will know more before the game on Tuesday.

This season, the Dodgers tried to find outfield production outside of Hernández. Losing him would be a brutal blow on the offensive.
