Fans, who are sad from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's unexpected decision

After the headlines in 2024 and 2025 dominated the headlines to Swift's blockbuster “Eras Tour” and Kelces Super Bowl Run with the Chiefsschein to enjoy a well-cited break from the spotlight.

This break extended until Monday evening, despite the swirling rumors, that the two could make a surprising appearance at the Met Gala 2025. Swift has not participated in the event since 2016 and Kelce has never taken the legendary steps.

The fact was the fact that both currently have lighter schedules. Swift has not yet released new music in 2025, and Kelce remains in the NFL new season. Kelce was recently discovered in New York City for a Photoshoot American Eagle – only for Swift's residence and the venue of the Met Gala.

In the end, while countless celebrities adorned the red carpet, the absence of Kelce and Swift made many fans of the power couple disappoint a little.
