Fatima Sana Shaikh with Madhur Bhandarkar Bollywood Wives Skandal

Madhur Bhandarkar is known for films such as Chandni Bar, fashion and page 3. His work often deals with the scandalous realities behind apparently glamorous facades.

Bhandarkar continued this trend and had announced his new project entitled Wives of Bollywood last year.

In an exclusive report by Rahul Raut on Peepingmoon.com it was announced that Fatima Sana Shaikh Bhandarkar's coming film should lead.

Shaikh, known for her outstanding achievements in Dangal, Ludo, Thar and Sam Bahadur, will represent the wife of a Bollywood star in this showbiz drama.

Bhandarkar is currently gathering an ensemble line -up, and Shaikh is one of the first prominent actors who come on board. The conversations with other actors are in different phases of negotiations.

The film is scheduled to go to floors in August, with a theater publication for early 2026.

Wives of Bollywood was first announced in October 2024 and promises an explosive thriller drama that explores the invisible, glamorous life of Bollywood stars.

The audience can expect that the story will be laced with scandal, gossip and power struggles that corresponds to the typical style of Bhandarkar.

A few years ago, however, Netflix released Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, a series that also examined the life of Bollywood women behind the scenes.

This film probably knows Bhandarkar's approach from storytelling more intense and controversial. But the real question is whether the audience will be ready to pay to see it in the cinemas?

Only time will show it. If Bhandarkar stays true to his style and delivers the shock value for which he is known, this could only be a success of the cash register.
