The 2025 Met Gala has started and celebrities come to the carpet.

On Monday, May 5th, stars from all over the world will flock to New York City to visit the greatest night of fashion, in which the topic this year will be “superfine: Tacoring Black Style” that celebrates the concept of black dandyism.

In a press release for the event, the MET said that the topic was inspired by the Barnard College Chair and Professor Monica L. Millers 2009 book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity”.

The museum also said that the dress code is “tailored for them”, “an allusion to the focus of the exhibition on suit and men's clothing”.

According to Vogue, this is the first time since 2003 that the costume institute has focused exclusively on men's clothing.

Today's Al Roker will first experience a big first one: he will cover the event for the first time today.

“I will be trapped for our buddy Sheinelle (Jones) and the Met Gala,” he said on May 1.

Craig Melvin added: “You are the perfect guy because you are very, very stylish. Always for years.”

Al said that he already has the perfect outfit in mind and that he can hardly wait to take part in the event.

“We are ready to go,” he said.

When does the 2025 Met Gala begin?

The red carpet of the Met Gala begins at 6 p.m. ET, but the guest arrives start at 5:30 p.m. ET and continue until 8 p.m. It is worth noting that some celebrities can occur if the celebrations are on the red carpet shortly before the end.
