Gautier man condemned for sex crimes that led to pregnancy of the 14-year-old

Jackson Co., Miss. (WLOX) -AM Monday afternoon was convicted of a Gautier man after a guilty climate crime for a 14-year-old victim.

The 23-year-old Josemany Jean Francois received the maximum prison sentence of 20 years in the care of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

According to officials, the victim scored 18-year-old Francois in a high school soccer game in winter 2020. The two met in February 2021 in a friend's house. The victim told the law enforcement authorities that Francois had inevitably sexually attacked them during the house and became pregnant as a result of the attack.

The security and well -being of our children are of the greatest importance, and those who harm them are being held accountable,” said district prosecutor Angel Myers Mcilrath.

“We understand that the healing process for victims of sexual abuse of children can be long and difficult. While no judgment can undo the damage caused, we hope that this conviction and this judgment would provide a certain level of justice and sends everyone who could damage children in our community,” added the deputy district prosecutor Justin Livn.

He is charged similarly in the counties Harrison and Hancock with non -related victims and is transported to answer the indictment. Due to the type of crime, the verdict must be served day for day without hope for early release or probation.
