Woman shot, killed while attending friends; Suspect in custody after suspected crime stroll

Columbia, SC (WKRC) – A woman was shot in South Carolina while visiting her friends.

In a declaration by the Columbia police authority, the authorities announced that the arrival of a suspect was tragically killed in the murder of 22-year-old Logan Federico, a resident of Waxhaw, North Carolina, who was tragically killed during the visit of friends in Columbia, South Carolina.

“Our deepest condolences go to the Federico family and everyone who knew and loved them,” said officials during a press conference. “No words can alleviate the pain of their loss, but we stand with them to support and grief.”

According to WIS-TV, Federico was decided to have died on a shot wound on the chest, with the forensic doctor of Richland County, Naida Rutherford, called a murder after an autopsy.

During the investigation, the authorities were able to identify a suspect at the shootout as a 30-year-old Alexander Dickey, who was arrested in Lexington County, South Carolina on Sunday, reported the outlet.

Dickey was accused of broken into a house and stolen the keys to a car, together with several other objects, including a firearm. After the station, Dickey allegedly broke into a second residence after leaving the first house in which Federico remained.

He supposedly took containers, credit and debit cards before entering a room and shot Federico into his chest.

The police informed the WIS reporters that Dickey drove away in a stolen car and then used the stolen cards and the money to make several purchases.

The outlet reported that Dickey was finally arrested after he had supposedly broken into a house in Gaston, South Carolina, and set it on fire. He was brought to the Lexington County internment camp and refused Bond, reported WIS.

The station reported that he faces a suspicion of murder and other charges associated with other alleged crimes committed in the region.

When Federico's father Stephen spoke in a press conference, he described his daughter as a loving person with a brilliant future. She added that she attended school and supported herself through two jobs per WIS.

“She will continue to live for and not physically, she will touch people and protect other people. Somehow she will have a big decision about what children's life and looked at them.

The authorities emphasized their commitment to pursuing justice and support from Federico's family throughout the process.

According to WIS, the investigation remains.
